Laurie LeBreton founded Laurie LeBreton and Associates in 1982, when she began fundraising for Youth Service Project, a social service agency in Humboldt Park. With her second client, Chicago Women in Trades, Laurie worked first as a fundraiser, and subsequently as research and advocacy consultant.
Since then, Laurie LeBreton and Associates have worked in many different areas—advocacy, women's issues, education, early childhood, community development, and the arts—with many different organizations.
Laurie lives with her husband in Chicago, where she raised her two sons. She is a long-time board member of Lakeview Action Coalition, a community development organization. She is also a volunteer in American Field Service, an international exchange program for high school students.
